From seeds to felted art.
Growing, Dyeing, Felting, and Sharing Stories Through Nature
A multi-session Art for Life creative engagement program
Each Kit has enough materials for 4 people
The Prairie Color Project is a hands-on creative engagement program that connects gardening, natural dyeing, sheep, wool, felting, storytelling, and community.
Participants begin by painting and planting seed paper to grow a dye garden. Over time, they observe the plants, share memories, explore natural color, dye wool, and use that wool to create a finished needle felted artwork.
This program is designed for nursing homes, schools, intergenerational groups, and community settings. Each engagement is designed to last approximately 45 minutes and may be completed as a full series or adapted into individual activities.
